ROG 3 -On The Go Gaming Beast.
Asus finally revealed the much anticipated ROG phone 3 on July 22. With the value for money the ROG phone 2 offered, hopes were pinned high on the ROG phone 3.
The ROG phone 3 comes with the latest Snapdragon 865+paired with Adreno 650 GPU with up to 16 GB RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage.
It sports a 6.59" AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. [This is by far the best as the numbers go.] It comes with 19.5:9 aspect ratio with 1080p resolution. It also boasts of a response time of 1 ms.
Although the ROG is gamers centric it does quite well in the camera department on the paper. It comes with a triple camera setup with the main camera being a 48MP lens with IMX686 sensor from Sony which can also record in 8K. The secondary camera is a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The third one is a macro lens.
This powerhouse is powered by a massive 6000 MaH battery that now comes with a 30 Watt charger in the box. Asus claims that with the new battery optimisation software it now gives 2X longer lifespan.
It also has a side-mounted USB C charging port for the best landscape-mode gaming experience.
The best feature of the ROG line up is the air triggers and Asus seems to have up their game with the Air Trigger 3 technology. It now has six different modes of interaction with air triggers.
Asus has not been as aggressive as they were with the ROG phone 2 and have increased their prices. The base variant comes in at 49,999 with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. There is also another configuration coming in at 57,999 with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage
Regarding availability, Asus confirmed that the sale will go live on August 6th on Flipkart at 12 AM.
